# Plan my week

The coming week read from your job system and calendar, the live work identified, and the diary blocked out in your own colour scheme for you to adjust.

Plan my week is a small system that reads the coming week from your job system and calendar and blocks out the diary. Your week is planned before you sit down. Monday morning goes on pulling the week together instead of doing the work.

## The problem

The jobs are in one system, the meetings in the calendar, the promises in email, and the plan for the week in your head. Every Monday starts with pulling those together, and by midweek the plan is out of date because something moved and the diary did not.

## What it does

The coming week is read from the places it already lives: the job system, the calendar, the tasks. The live work is identified, the things with a date, the things that were promised, the things that will slip if they are not started. The diary is blocked out with it, in your own colour scheme, so you can read the week at a glance instead of learning someone else's colours. You look at it, drag what is wrong, and start.

## What it needs from you

Access to the calendar and the job system, arranged so that you can withdraw it. Your colour scheme and your rules of thumb: what a site day looks like, what you never book on a Friday, how long a quote really takes. Those rules are what makes the plan yours rather than a list.

## What it does not do

It does not accept meetings, move other people's appointments or tell anyone what you are doing. It does not know the client who always overruns. It proposes and you decide. The blocked-out week is a draft you change, not a schedule you are held to. The first few weeks will need more dragging than the ones after.
