# Notes to one-pager

Messy meeting notes or a voice memo go in, and a structured one-page summary comes out, ready for a person to check and send.

Notes to one-pager is a small system that turns messy meeting notes into a one-page summary, ready to send. The follow-up goes the same day. The meeting was useful. The notes are on bits of paper and a phone.

## The problem

A site visit or a client meeting ends with notes: some in a notebook, some typed on a phone in the van, some remembered. Writing them up properly, so the client, the office and the team all see the same thing, takes time nobody has, so it is done badly or not at all, and the details are argued about later.

## What it does

You paste in the notes, as messy as they are, or a voice memo. What comes back is one page in the shape you use: what was discussed, what was decided, what is still open, who does what next and by when. Anything the notes do not settle is listed as open rather than guessed. A person reads it, fixes what the notes got wrong, and sends it.

## What it needs from you

Some summaries you have written by hand and were happy with, so the shape is yours. The habit of getting the notes in while the meeting is fresh, which is the part that decides whether this works.

## What it does not do

It does not attend the meeting, and it cannot know what was said but not written down. It does not send the summary. It does not decide who does what: it records what the notes say was agreed. The person who was in the room reads every one before it goes, because the first version will confidently record something that was a joke.
