# Article build

A topic is picked, the article written in your voice, and the web page and its structured data generated with a preview. A person reviews and publishes.

Article build is a small system that drafts an article for your website from a topic you pick, in your voice, for a person to publish. The website gets written without taking your evenings. There is a list of things you could write about. The last one went up months ago.

## The problem

Writing for the website is worth doing and never urgent. When an article does get written, somebody then has to build the page, add the headings and the metadata, check it reads on a phone, and put it up. That second half takes as long as the first and is why drafts sit in a folder.

## What it does

From your list of topics, one is picked and written in your voice, from what you actually know: the question a client asked, the mistake you keep seeing, the thing that surprised you on a job. The web page is built from it, with the title, description, headings and structured data done, and a preview is sent to a person. They read it, change what they want, and publish it, or send it back.

## What it needs from you

A list of topics in your words, and what you would say about each if someone asked you in the van. Your own writing, so the voice is yours and not a generic one. Somewhere on your website that a page can be added to without a developer.

## What it does not do

It does not publish on its own. It does not invent facts, figures or client stories, and a draft that would need them stops and asks. It does not promise rankings or traffic. A person reads every article before it goes up, and the first drafts will need real editing, because it takes a few rounds before the writing stops sounding like someone else.
